Election season took a strange turn this week when popular San Diego skateboarder Tony Hawk appeared at the end of an HBO bit and urged viewers to vote against Measure C, the Chargers’ facility initiative.
“I love the Chargers, but if they go, we still have the beach, the zoo, Blink-182, Mexico, sunshine, Nick Cannon, Comic-Con and me, Tony Hawk,” he said.
Then Hawk skated off.
My take: Hawk is someone Chargers Owner-Chairman Dean Spanos would rather have on his side. Hawk’s verified Twitter account lists 4.
