SAN DIEGO – With a combined 22 years of NFL experience, Qualcomm stadium is the only home that tight end Antonio Gates and Eric Weddle have known.
But Sunday’s final home game against the Miami Dolphins for the 2015 season could be the team’s last in San Diego, with Chargers Chairman Dean Spanos focused on relocating the team to Los Angeles.
NFL owners are scheduled to meet and vote on potentially relocating a team or teams to the L.A. market on Jan. 12 and 13 in Houston.
Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said his team will be focused on getting a win against the Dolphins on Sunday, and the situation will not be a distraction.
