The San Diego Chargers took Jerry Attaochu in the 2nd round last season and had high expectations out of the linebacker. The team traded up in order to take him, but he was not able to stay on the field enough to give the team a good enough evaluation on him. He will get a big opportunity this season to produce. With Dwight Freeney and Jarret Johnson out of the mix, Attaochu will get the opportunity to step into the starting role.
Tom Telesco has high hopes.
“We drafted him last year for a reason, because he was an excellent pass-rusher in college,” Telesco said, via ESPN.
