With the 242nd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers selected Cincinnati defensive tackle Cortez Broughton.
At 6-foot-2 and 293 pounds, Broughton offers a low cost, high-upside depth piece to utilize in the interior of the defensive line.
He was a first team All-AAC selection following the 2018 season where he had 52 total stops while also leading the team in tackles-for-loss with 17.5. He also had 6.5 sacks and broke up up five passes at the line of scrimmage.
Broughton played in two game during his first year on campus but wound up injured and subsequently redshirted that year.
