Second-round rookie edge rusher Tuli Tuipulotu has been a lightning rod for the Chargers defense on more than one occasion this season. With Joey Bosa fighting nagging injuries and now sidelined for four weeks due to an ankle injury, Tuli has had to step up even more opposite Khalil Mack.
In his sixth start of the season, Tuipulotu wrangled Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson behind the line of scrimmage while also forcing the ball loose in the process. Doing it all himself, he also managed to secure the ball and put an end to a promising New England drive that was spearheaded by the Patriots’ run game.
