On Tuesday, the Washington Commanders announced the signing of former Chargers offensive tackle Foster Sarell. The former Ravens UDFA signed with the Bolts in October of the 2021 season and has mainly resided as the swing tackle in Los Angeles.
With Jim Harbaugh and Joe Hortiz continuing to reshape the offensive line entering year two of their regime, it looks like they’re not just happy upgrading the starters. Choosing not to re-sign Sarell — who has multiple years of experience with the team — shows us they have another plan for the spot.
What is that plan, though?
