OAKLAND, Calif. -- Asked if Travis Benjamin will remain the team’s starting punt returner moving forward, San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said he would have to see how the week played out before making a decision.
McCoy has options, with the Chargers recently signing third-down back and experienced return man Dexter McCluster.
But while Benjamin has struggled with ball security and letting catchable punts hit the ground for lost yardage in field position, it seems early for the Chargers to put him on the bench.
