The Chargers needed strong performances from a plethora of first-year player (with the team or in the NFL) to beat the Raiders in a classic, throwback divisional rivalry game.
For the most part, the game was defined by many small gains and losses. Both sides needed to scratch and claw from the first whistle until the last to give their respective teams the best chance of leaving with a victory. In the end, it was the Chargers who made the most plays which added up to a 22-10 win at home.
