Texans sign LB Nick Niemann to 2-year, $6.5 million deal

The Chargers have allowed another in-house free agent to walk as linebacker and core special-teamer Nick Niemann is reportedly signing a two-year, $6.5 million deal to join the Houston Texans, per NFL insider Aaron Wilson.

Niemann has been one of the Chargers’ best coverage players under special teams coordinator Ryan Ficken for the past three seasons. Per reports, the Chargers were interested in bring Niemann back to LA but it looks like the Texans made an offer he could not refuse, especially for a core special-teamer in this league.
