SAN DIEGO -- Usually not one to hand out praise unsolicited, San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers made a point to single out tackle Chris Hairston for how he played against the Green Bay Packers after Sunday's game.
“I’d take him any day of the week,” Rivers said about Hairston. “He could hardly walk on Wednesday, and that’s what makes you appreciate the guys up front. I said, ‘Hey, how are ya?’ on Wednesday. And he said, ‘I’ll be out there.’”
Hairston appreciated the nice words from Rivers, but also understands he has a job to do.
