Starter's return is a big deal, says Bolts teammate

The Chargers say Jahleel Addae will return to their lineup Sunday in Houston.

The strong safety hasn’t played since he cracked a collarbone late in the Week 2 rout of the Jaguars.

Addae’s career statistics are only so-so, but fellow safety Dwight Lowery said the fourth-year Charger will lend a “big lift” to the defense with his rare know-how and slam-bam style.

Lowery, who praised Addae’s replacements, noted that Addae has far more game experience within the team’s scheme than any other Chargers defensive back.

“To bring his energy, passion, physicality, and also his knowledge of the defense — it’s going to help us tremendously,” said the ninth-year veteran.
