In early January, the Chargers defensive lineman said that he was summoned for a random toxicology test at his Texas home. But he was not in Texas; he was in Alabama. Due to a “miscommunication” for which he claimed responsibility, his failure to attend violated the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
He filed an appeal.
It was denied
“You try to blink and hope it isn’t real, but it was real,” Square said. “I made a mistake. It’s one you always want to take back, but you can’t take it back.
