Local officials are broadening their base in an attempt to demonstrate their commitment to keeping the Chargers in San Diego.
To that end, Mayor Kevin Faulconer, County Supervisor Ron Roberts and San Diego State President Elliot Hirschman met Thursday with Chargers Chairman Dean Spanos.
It was not immediately clear what progress was made or whether the efforts can persuade Spanos to not move his team to Los Angeles. However, the meeting does seem more along the lines of what the Chargers have been requesting so they can assess what the possible contributions are from all the stakeholders.
