The Titans today released second-year RB David Cobb. Could he be a fit in San Diego?
The Tennessee Titans today announced that they had waived second-year running back David Cobb as they trimmed their roster to 75 players. After they signed DeMarco Murray in free agency and drafted Derrick Henry in the second round, Cobb was pretty clearly on the bubble to make the team. It seems the Titans did him a favor by waiving him during the first round of cuts as that gives him a better chance to latch on with another team.
As of Sunday morning, the Chargers could be in the market for an RB3 thanks to Branden Oliver’s Achilles injury.
