SAN DIEGO -- Former San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Shawne Merriman filed a lawsuit in district court this week against The Vermont Teddy Bear Company, according to a Forbes report.
Merriman’s suit alleges trademark infringement and unfair competition by the teddy bear company. According to the lawsuit, Merriman claims the teddy bear manufacturer infringed on his trademark “Lights Out” brand, a federally held trademark owned by Lights Out Holdings that he developed during his time with the Chargers.
