SAN DIEGO -- In response to the Chargers laying the groundwork for a move to Los Angeles, San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer appeared on several local television and radio stations here on Friday to make his case for keeping the team in San Diego.
NFL owners unanimously approved a final tenant-lease contract between the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers this week, along with the Chargers using a debt waiver to finance a portion of the $650 million relocation fee.
While Faulconer did not provide a specific plan for keeping the Chargers in town, he pointed to last year’s $1.
