HOUSTON -- A day after NFL owners shot down the San Diego Chargers' Carson project in Los Angeles in favor of St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke’s Inglewood proposal, San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer said Wednesday he’s looking for a clean slate with the team in getting a stadium deal done.
“Today is a fresh start,” Faulconer said. “I sincerely believe we can create a successful project for both the Chargers organization and the region, if we have a sincere effort to work together.”
Added San Diego county supervisor Ron Roberts: “We now have an opportunity to sit down and have a sincere negotiation.
