Good morning.
According to KGTV ABC News in San Diego, the San Diego city council will discuss the Chargers stadium initiative during an afternoon meeting on Monday.
Last week, city clerk Liz Maland announced that the football team had secured enough valid signatures to qualify the measure for the November ballot. The city council must place the measure on the ballot within the next 10 days.
My take: While San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer has not said publicly whether he supports the project, council members David Alvarez, Chris Cate and Scott Sherman have expressed opposition to the downtown stadium project.
