Philip Rivers will be officially signing his contract extension with the San Diego Chargers today and according to NFL.com the deal includes a no-trade clause. San Diego will be the likely destination that Philip will end his career. He will play out that contract with the Chargers until 2019.
During this last offseason, rumors were swirling about the Chargers shopping Philip Rivers in order to draft Marcus Mariota. That trade never took place and all those rumors won’t have to be swirling ever again.
The Chargers will not have to worry about the quarterback position for a while and can focus on building a powerful roster around Philip.
