The Chargers have placed cornerback Brandon Flowers on injured reserve, bringing the total up to 18 players to go on IR this year. Also, adding Flowers to the IR puts the Chargers at over $38 million in cap space all allocated to players on injured reserve.
Flowers has been sidelined since sustaining a concussion in Week 10 against the Dolphins adding to an already bad concussion history. He finished with 28 combined tackles in 6 games this year, highlighted by an interception off Marcus Mariota that Flowers returned 33 yards for the touchdown in the Chargers Week 9 victory.
