SAN DIEGO -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he plans to meet with representatives of the San Diego Chargers in a few weeks to discuss the team’s proposal to build a stadium in downtown San Diego.
Goodell talked with reporters this week during an appearance at former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly’s annual golf charity event. Goodell reiterated that the league remains committed to keeping the Chargers in San Diego, and supports the team’s downtown stadium proposal.
"The Chargers have done a tremendous amount of work to find a solution that works for the community," Goodell said.
