REPORT: Chargers sign veteran WR James Jones

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Chargers have agreed to a deal with former Packers wide receiver James Jones.

Jones, 32, adds a solid veteran presence while Johnson recovers from a torn meniscus. After reuniting with the Packers in 2015, Jones finished the season with 50 receptions for 890 yards and eight touchdowns, which was the second-most in his career. He also finished with a career-high 17.8 yards per catch. He was huge help for a Packers’ passing attack that had been hit by injuries.

Jones, who is 6-foot-1, 208 pounds, is known to be a big red-zone target.
