Report card: Chargers stop skid at Jacksonville

Philip Rivers threw four touchdown passes and the Chargers won for the first time since Week 4 with a 31-25 victory over Jacksonville on Sunday. Here's how Nick Canepa graded the Bolts' performance.

Quarterbacks

Philip Rivers (four touchdown passes) became the 17th player to throw for 40,000 career yards (fourth fastest all-time). One of the great combatants. Even ran for 8 yards on a crucial, almost unheard (for Mike McCoy) fourth-and-7. Took 30 seconds, but it worked. He was diamond-hard, near flawless.

Receivers

Timeless, irresistible Antonio Gates caught his 102nd and 103rd TDs.
