SAN DIEGO -- Considered a liability on passing downs because of limited exposure in college, San Diego Chargers running backs coach Ollie Wilson said rookie Melvin Gordon has been fine in that area.

“I know this: When he matches up, he’ll put his head in and strike somebody,” Wilson said.
