SAN DIEGO -- Along with teammate Antonio Gates, Mike Scifres is the longest tenured member of the San Diego Chargers, with 13 years spent in the NFL, all spent with the same team.
So Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins will be an emotional one for the 35-year-old punter, as it is possibly the last game for the Chargers in Qualcomm Stadium.
Scifres joins tight end Antonio Gates, quarterback Philip Rivers, receiver Malcom Floyd and safety Eric Weddle as players with at least nine years with the organization.
