SAN DIEGO -- All Philip Rivers wants is to remain this city’s quarterback for the rest of his playing career, while San Diego mayor Kevin Faulconer emphasized the importance of keeping the San Diego Chargers part of the community.
Both Rivers and Faulconer spoke in support of Measure C, the Chargers $1.8 billion downtown stadium and convention center project at Chargers Park on Tuesday in an effort to create more awareness for the November ballot initiative, just three weeks out.
Rivers talked about what it would mean to him to have a new stadium in San Diego, both as a player and the member of the community.
