Many teams could be looking for a new starting quarterback in 2020. One of the teams that will be is the Los Angeles Chargers, who have agreed to part ways with Philip Rivers, severing a 16-year run together.
At 38 years old, Rivers still wants to continue his playing career and will be looking for something in the neighborhood of a two-year contract to give him a shot at winning the Super Bowl that has eluded him his entire career.
The teams that could be interested in Rivers must obviously have a need at the quarterback position, but for mutual interest to exist, that team needs to have the kinds of pieces in place that convinces Rivers that a Super Bowl is possible.
