Following a teleconference on Tuesday, NFL owners have voted to expand the playoff field from 12 to 14 teams starting in 2020. Each conference will have an additional wildcard spot with six games now being played across Wildcard Weekend.

This decision should excite Chargers fans who have been worried about having to go through the Chiefs every year to make the playoffs.
