The 2014 NFL Draft may hold some influence on the 2017 version.
There were teams in need of a quarterback at the top of that draft — the Houston Texans being one of them — but the pull of Jadeveon Clowney’s other-worldly talent altered many a draft board — much like Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett and Alabama’s Jonathan Allen will do next year.
It took Clowney a few seasons, but he’s finally shaping up to be the player we all expected him to be.
