After spending their first three picks in the 2017 NFL Draft on offense, the Los Angeles Chargers have doubled-down on their weakness at Safety by using their fourth and fifth picks on talented Safeties.
After taking Rayshawn Jenkins in the 4th Round, the Chargers used their 5th Round pick on Desmond King out of the University of Iowa.
There’s an interesting thing in the Chargers’ announcement of this pick, though. Can you see it?
The tweet calls him a Safety, the graphic calls him a Cornerback. This is interesting to me because I feel the Chargers’ have a need for a Nickel CB and maybe King is their guy to compete for that role.
