On Thursday morning, the NFL announced that the NFL Combine will be staying in Indianapolis through 2026 as the league and city continue a partnership that seems destined to last forever.
Each and every offseason, the idea of the combine being held elsewhere continues to be floated around as if the structure and setup in Indy isn’t the best and has been for the past four decades since it began in 1987.
The NFL began accepting bids in 2021 from other potential host cities but the city’s ability to continue proving that it’s the best candidate to host has allowed it to combat any and all newcomers.
