On Thursday morning, NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that the NFL’s virtual offseason period will be extended through June 26. The chance for in-person minicamps this month were also squashed, meaning it’s July or bust for any on-field work.
Ian Rapoport later chimed in and stated that some teams will likely end their virtual program earlier but the official end for everyone to be done remains the 26th.
Most recently, the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent a memo to all teams in preparation for players to return to their individual facilities. The memo suggested all organizations to prep for the increased demands in cleaning, social distancing, and food service, among other expectations.
