SAN DIEGO – Unlike most people, Samuel Attaochu didn’t want to move to San Diego. But his mother, Comfort, knew best.
Coming from a conservative, religious family that relocated to the Washington D.C. area over a decade ago from Nigeria, younger brother Jeremiah Attaochu needed Samuel’s assistance.
And when Jeremiah Attaochu, a second-round pick by the San Diego Chargers in the 2014 draft, asked his older brother to join him in his new hometown, Samuel didn’t have much of a choice.
Jeremiah's question to Samuel was simple: Do you want to come to San Diego, or not?
