More questions face Chargers this offseason

Two questions that hovered over the Chargers’ 2016 season — what is the franchise’s future in San Diego; what is its future at head coach — were answered last month in short span. Mike McCoy was dismissed on New Year’s Day. On Jan. 12, owner Dean Spanos declared his franchise “determined to fight for L.A.”

A transitional period at Chargers Park followed.

Burned jerseys were removed from the parking lot. A few new logos surfaced. Some coaches were dismissed. Others were retained. Administrative employees weighed whether to follow the club to Los Angeles. Today, Anthony Lynn, McCoy’s successor, is on the cusp of finalizing his coaching staff.
