SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Mayor Kevin Faulconer, county Supervisor Ron Roberts and City Attorney Jan Goldsmith are holding a news conference Wednesday after with an update on the football stadium issue.
Team representatives met with city leaders for the third time Tuesday, June 16. The Chargers then said the city's plan for a December vote on a new stadium was not possible due to legal concerns.
Chargers counsel Mark Fabiani released a statement that said: "The Chargers have concluded that it is not possible to place a ballot measure before voters in December 2015 in a legally defensible manner given the requirements of the state's election law and the California Environmental Quality Act.
