SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers open the 2015 season for what could be the team’s final year in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium.

Core players such as Malcom Floyd understand what the moment means. The 12-year veteran plans to retire at the end of the year. Floyd, 34, has played his entire NFL career with the Chargers.

“I’m just going to go play,” Floyd said.
