The Los Angeles Chargers were in the running for Tom Brady until the very end, but ultimately, Brady decided to stay on the East Coast and sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While there has been no official announcement yet, the deal is expected to be for $30 million per season, according to Ian Rapoport (h/t CBS Sports).
Some fans rejoiced over this, and it is not hard to see why. Brady is on the wrong side of 40 and because of his cost, it would have seemed foolish to sign him rather than just sticking with Philip Rivers.
