Injured second-year linebacker Joshua Perry was waived by the Los Angeles Chargers from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Saturday, September 9. Perry was drafted by the Chargers in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
This is just another sign that first-year Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn is not overly concerned with where a player was drafted or how much he was signed for. It is encouraging to see that the Chargers are more worried about what a player can and does do on the field of play than on what the team gave up to get them.
