The Los Angeles Chargers appeared to be in the running for Tom Brady until the very end when it was announced that Brady would be joining Bruce Arians with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After missing out on Brady, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the team was not looking to add a veteran quarterback and is moving forward with Tyrod Taylor.
That changes the outlook completely of the NFL Draft. Not bringing in Brady almost solidifies that the team will select a quarterback in the draft and that the likely plan is to use Taylor as a bridge-gap quarterback to the rookie.
