It’s an exercise in folly, almost certainly, to ponder the NFL and San Diego partnering up again.
Caveat noted, flexibility relating to the NFL seems a virtue to the “SDSU Mission Valley” football-and-soccer venue planned for the former Chargers stadium site.
The stadium of 35,000 seats can be expanded to some 50,000, if an NFL team is so inclined.
That’s not news.
However, because of the stadium design, the site will retain this NFL option for the foreseeable future.
That’s a point made this week at a breakfast meeting hosted by the university’s Corky McMillin Center for Real Estate.
