Losing a starting job is a test for any football player.
The Chargers’ signing in March of former Seahawks nose tackle Brandon Mebane, a starter on two Super Bowl teams, supplanted Sean Lissemore from the role he held in 2014-15.
Lissemore, looking trim after a recent workout with linemates, said he’s ready to handle the fallout.
“I’ve kind of hung my hat on being a versatile guy, being able to play defense end, defensive tackle, nose tackle -- wherever they need me,” he said. “So, that’s kind of the mentality going forward into this season. Where they need me, that’s where I’m gonna be.
