Ladd McConkey sets NFL record for receiving yards by rookie WR

In the Chargers 32-12 wild card loss to the Texans, rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey set a bit of league history for himself although it may not go a long way in making him feel better about the outcome.

With 197 receiving yards on Saturday against Houston, McConkey set the single-game record for yards by a rookie in NFL history. That number is also good for third-most in any playoff debut in league annals, behind only Calvin Johnson’s 211 and Demaryius Thomas’ 204.
