With the 2020 NFL Draft occurring this month, the LA Chargers have been busy completing their evaluations of prospects through meetings over Facetime. The Chargers have also completed many in-person interviews at the East-West Shrine Bowl and at the NFL Combine.
While the implications of these interviews can be overblown, three out of the seven players the Chargers selected in the 2019 NFL Draft were interviewed by the team before they were selected (Nasir Adderley, Trey Pipkins, and Easton Stick).
By simple observation, this seems to indicate that the Chargers either interview players that they are interested in, or they may be more inclined to draft players that impress them at their interviews.
