Desmond King became a fan-favorite on the LA Chargers during the 2018 season when he had a breakout year and was voted an All-Pro. King became a household name for Charger fans and the former sixth-round selection looked like one of Tom Telesco’s best selections.
King was still solid in 2019 but he absolutely took a step back. He was not as reliable in coverage nor special teams. He was not terrible, but it became evident that the Chargers needed more secondary help than they may have thought, so they brought in Chris Harris.
