While the LA Chargers were never officially reported to be in contact with J.J. Watt, there was cautious optimism among Charger fans that the Bolts could sign the former All-Pro defensive end.
To be fair, there were not many teams that were reported to be in contact with Watt and even the team he signed with, the Arizona Cardinals, did not have much steam behind them prior to Watt’s announcement on Twitter.
