The expectation heading into the 2020 NFL Draft is that either Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert will be available to the LA Chargers with the sixth overall pick. While fans are split on who to select (throwing Jordan Love into the mix as well), the expectation is that two quarterbacks will be selected in the first five picks.
That might not be the case, however, as the Detroit Lions have thrown their name into the quarterback hat as the team interviewed both Tua and Herbert and potentially could be interested in either signal-caller.
That would change everything for the Chargers as it would be taking an option away from the team and could potentially take away the team’s creativity in either moving up or down in the draft.
