Emeke Egbule did make the Chargers’ 53-man roster as a rookie and played in 15 games for the team last season. However, he didn’t make much of an impact on the defensive side of the ball.
The Chargers were deep at the linebacker position and unless a player, or maybe even multiple players went down with an injury, Egbule was going to have to settle for a role on special teams. That was indicative by snaps he saw this past season.
Egbule was present for a total of just 21 defensive snaps this past season, but he was out there for 43.
