There was always going to be cautious optimism surrounding J.K. Dobbins following his signing by the Chargers during the offseason. He had ties to the Ravens, he’s a young back, but the injuries were plenty and there was no guarantee he would be anything like his rookie form when he became fully healthy, whenever that would eventually be.
Well, I’m here to tell you that the low-risk, high-reward move by the Chargers has paid off in spades just two weeks into the NFL. As of me typing this, Dobbins currently leads the NFL with 266 rushing yards to go with a pair of touchdowns.
