The Chargers got the hottest head coach candidate on the market when they landed Jim Harbaugh to lead the franchise into their new era earlier this offseason. He’s the first head coach hired by the Chargers with head coach experience since Norv Turner (2007-2012), but this time, it’s not a guy who was fired after failing elsewhere.
In a list by CBS Sports ranking all 32 NFL head coaches, Harbaugh comes in at No. 7 in what may be a massive surprise given that he hasn’t coached in the professional game in over a decade.
