The Los Angeles Chargers had to make some tough decision and surprising moves during the cuts down to a 53 man roster on Tuesday afternoon. Veterans like Donald Parham and Alex Leatherwood and newer faces such as Luis Perez ultimately had their names removed from the roster.
On Monday head coach Jim Harbaugh made it clear the roster cuts were ultimately up to new general manager Joe Hortiz.
“Joe Hortiz, he’s going to run it,” Harbaugh said via the team’s transcript. “I want him to do it because he’s watching everybody, not only on our team but every other team.
